Cat Moreau, MSc student

Biography

Undergrad student in B SC. (Natural Resource Conservation : Global Perspective) – University of British Columbia

Research Interests

I seek to pursue research projects that take on a multidisciplinary lens. I am interested in the intersection between environmental and social justice issues and trying to better understand trade-offs between conservation/sustainability and empowering livelihoods. Global and local inequalities should not be ignored when making sustainable development goals and future climate change planning.

I am currently pursuing my MSc. to further understand the connections between energy poverty, biomass use and forest health in Southern Chile. I have previous worked as a research assistant on projects regarding food and landscape diversity, as well as a project on Ecological Economics.
