Research Interests

I am aiding the Tsilhqot’in First Nation of interior British Columbia to analyze the change in riparian landscapes in their traditional territory due to the effects of resource extraction, ranching, and climate change using historic aerial photos. The focus will be on mapping the suitable habitats for culturally significant food and medicinal resources, such as moose and wild berries. I am also interested in the interface between western science and traditional ecological knowledge of indigenous people.
